Hi! I’m Sarah.

My proofreading journey began shortly after I learned to read as a child, because I was never capable of reading a book without noticing typos, straight apostrophes, and other inconsistencies.

(It took me until my mid-twenties to realize that normal people don’t do this. Better late than never!)

Like many story-obsessed kids, I wanted to be an author when I grew up—but, in a valiant effort to be practical, I went to college, got degrees in Health Science and Nursing, and became a registered nurse in a major hospital.

And then 2020 happened, so that career ended more quickly than anticipated. But my two research-heavy bachelor’s degrees and my years of experience in healthcare professions only solidified my detail-oriented tendencies, and nowadays, I bring that “chart like you’re about to be subpoenaed” energy to the (much more fun) pursuit of polishing stories until they shine.

In addition to proofreading for indie genre fiction authors, I also self-publish my own novels under a pen name, work as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, and spend way too much money at Taco Bell.
